Dandelion Camp @ FDR Week 1: July 7- 11

Young people aged 5-10 will join us at FDR Park for entirely outdoors summer camp programming! Environmental stewardship is at our core, and we are thrilled to offer Philadelphia families two exciting and unique weeks of summer camp that center this value in fun and engaging ways. From shelter building, to lake observation, to collaborative games and cool off activities, we know how to have summer fun in the park! At the Dandelion Project we have a deep respect for young people, which means that young people are empowered to make decisions about how they spend their time throughout the day!

Some examples of camp activities: sprinkler and water play, fishing in the lakes, lemonade making, plant identification and foraging, shelter building, natural materials sculptures, free play in the woods, natural tie dye with foraged plants, bug observation and lesson, etc.

All of our summer camps have sliding scale tuition. There are four price points for each week of camp. You select the camp tuition price best fits your budget!

To note: We are an entirely outdoors camp! In the event of rain, we will alter our daily activities to enjoy the wet weather more fully. We will not move indoors, cancel or refund camp. Additionally, we are committed to helping campers  understand the Health & Safety rules at Dandelion Camp and are thoughtful about all the ways we support campers in helping to keep themselves safe. We do need campers to reliably and consistently uphold the rule to stay in the camp boundary, which is clearly marked and monitored.
